Structural design documentation tailored to your needs
We create design documentation at every stage of the project: conceptual design, technical design, execution design, and workshop design. The documentation is prepared using Tekla Structures software. The first step in the design process is the creation of a 3D model. Based on the 3D model, we generate drawing documentation and material schedules. Tekla Structures fully utilizes BIM technology. The contents of the project vary depending on its purpose and requirements. We will advise you on which design is best suited to ensure your comfort and peace of mind during construction.
Stages of the structural design process for a construction project
01 Conceptual design
is the preliminary stage of design, during which the structural layout and estimated element cross-sections are selected. This allows the cost estimator to perform an initial cost calculation before the detailed design work begins.
02 Technical design
is a separate part of the construction project, essential for starting construction work. It takes into account the complexity of the work and the specifics of the building. It includes structural solutions, static diagrams, calculation assumptions, and basic calculation results. It defines the structural-material solutions for key elements and presents the characteristic levels of the building, including, among others, the foundation plan, floor plan above the ground floor, and roof structure plan.
03 Executive design
is an extension and detailing of the technical design, containing project-specific construction details and a material schedule for reinforcement steel and structural steel. The documentation provides precise drawings necessary for the execution of non-standard construction works, ensuring compliance with the technical design assumptions and safety on the construction site. It allows the investor to better control the scope of the work being performed.
04 Workshop design
is an extension of the executive design for prefabricated elements at manufacturing plants, providing detailed drawings, dimensions of individual components, precise material lists, and assembly diagrams. The preparation of workshop documentation ensures the fastest possible production of prefabricated elements, which translates into a quicker completion of the construction project.
